Pure Inspiration offer a variety of sheep fleece either raw or hand dyed. Fleece can be hand dyed to order.

WEST COUNTRY SHEEP FLEECE

This fine fibre can be purchased as a whole fleece, a half fleece or a quarter fleece. This is very soft to handle and can be hand dyed to order. Smaller quantities are also available on request Spin into a soft woollen yarn to use for hand knitting or a worsted type yarn for hand weaving. Takes dye very well and is also good for felting.

WENSLEYDALE FLEECE

This wonderful sheep gives the appearance of having dreadlocks instead of a fleece. In fact the beautiful spiral locks are very soft with a lustre that holds even after hand dying. This fibre can be handspun into a very fine yarn or leave in the curl for an unusual novelty yarn.

Available in Grey, Black or White – raw or hand dyed to order.

BOWMONT FLEECE

This very fine fleece is produced from the Bowmont sheep which is a three quarter Saxon Merino and one quarter Shetland cross. The fleece reacts like Merino fleece and does need careful handling. Full washing instructions are supplied with each purchase.

Available in small quantities this fleece is suitable for spinning into handknitting and weaving yarn and is excellent for felting.

GOTLAND FLEECE

This is a beautiful soft grey fleece with a curl in the staple. Very fine fibres which make for a lovely fine spun yarn.

GOTLAND LAMBS CURLS

This fleece from the Gotland Lamb has a shorter staple but is so soft and luxurious, it can be spun into a fine yarn or leave in the curl and produce a novelty yarn. Can be used for knitting, weaving and felting.
